Many types of frogs live in the Razhin Jungle, and such biodiversity was too much for Krista’Mil to refuse. She cooked a frog while Rar was hunting today, and ate it. She now has a horrible fever with occasional convulsions. Elendra’Tel did everything she can to help Krista’Mil, but the Sisterhood medicines fall short of curing jungle illnesses. When Rar returned and saw her condition, he sadly informed us there is no cure for this poison. She might survive and recover, but it would take a few weeks. Rar ran off later tonight, so I think he has an idea of something he can do for her.

Now we need to decide what to do. Should we stay in the jungle hoping Krista’Mil recovers, or should we continue on our journey and hope she recovers along the way? With the exception of Rar, who recommended we return to his village, I think the rest of us want out of this jungle. It’s a hot, humid, dark, dangerous deathtrap. Fortunately, Rar says we’re only about half a month away from the edge of the jungle. Krista’Mil, however, is in no condition to provide us with her opinion on the matter. We’ll have to hope we make the best decision for her.

The only thing Elendra’Tel doesn’t like about us rowing upriver to leave the jungle is now she believes we won’t find the fabled Seven Cities of Lajolaine. Rar said he’d never heard of such a place, and doubted anything so grand was hidden in the jungle. Elendra’Tel wasn’t too happy, and started asking if he’d heard of quite a few other places. After he answered ‘no’ to them all, she decided he didn’t know enough about the world to know if the Seven Cities of Lajolaine were in the jungle or not. I have the feeling Krista’Mil knows where they were, but she won’t tell anyone, and not just because she ate a poisonous frog.
