Very little is known about the Dark Wizards. What is known is that they are not Lunari. Most people think they were originally men, but even that is little more than rumor and highly unlikely since they usually lived several centuries before they were defeated. The Dark Wizard Voth once told Naiya'Nal he was neither man nor Lunari but he would not say what he was.
What set the Dark Wizards apart from the Dark Lunari is that they prefered to attack the world with great armies instead of individual soldiers scouring the world for victims to kill.
