Siege Shield
Siege Shields were great devices constructed by Josloy when he attacked the fortress of the Dark Magicians. They consisted of a plate of star metal 75 feet long and 30 feet high placed upon a wooden frame. A great wooden roller was built in the front and thinner wheels supported the rear. The siege shields were pushed by groups of 625 soldiers and had space above the soldiers to carry their supplies.
At first glance, one would expect these devices to be impossibly heavy to move, however, star metal is extremely light and each shield would weigh 13,500 lbs with the frame actually weighing more than that at somewhere between 50,000-75,000 lbs. Even with the weight of supplies, the devices weighed no more than 100,000 lbs. This meant each soldier only had to exert about 160 lbs of effort to push it.
Josloy was the only one to ever use star shields. The metal was too expensive and hard to obtain that after the battle and the destruction of all the shields, there was little star metal left.
