Voth's Flagship

Voth's flagship for the Battle of Nasad was the largest sea vessel ever built in Nebulum. It was a trimaran composed of three hulls and a large deck connecting them. Each hull had 100 oars on each side and each oar had at least twenty rowers for a total of 12,000 rowers. The deck also had enough space for a very large number of soldiers. The sail was also extremely large and made of reinforced fabric. The keels and the oars were all rimmed with sharpened metal.

Because of its size, the ship took several weeks of extremely strong winds and constant rowing to reach a decent sailing speed. However, the ship was not meant for use in a sea battle. It's purpose was to sail directly at the enemy beach and allow its momentum to carry it through any defenses, onto the beach, and into the midst of King Belgrave's army. Those who were not crushed beneath the mammoth vessel could easily be struck down by the many large oars.

For the most part, the tactic was successful. However, Lebuv, Commander of the armada, doubled the rowers during the invasion to maintain the ship's speed when he should have doubled the number of soldiers on the deck. This caused a small bottleneck when the rowers had to leave their oars and join the rest of the soldiers.

The ship was burned by the fires of Voth the following day but much of the ruin would remain on the beach for years afterward.
