Sidrahkir was born during a battle in Tanarad, probably in Latan. His parents were killed that day and he was taken in by another soldier and his wife. By the age of ten, he was following the army to battle and would kill Barbidon soldiers who strayed near his location with his bow.

When Sidrahkir was finally conscripted, he rose through the ranks. Shortly before being promoted to the rank of Captain, he watched as the Dark Wizard Voth took his friend Tenaiya's daugher, Naiya'Nal, to be trained as a Dark Witch. Sidrahkir was also bitten by a dragon during this encounter, but was kept alive as the sole witness of Latan's destruction.

By the time Belgrave entered the world, Sidrahkir had become the Commander of the soldiers of Tanarad. It was Sidrahkir that tought Belgrave how to use a sword and shield, and eventually battle and leadership tactics and strategies. He is believed to have been King Belgrave's closest advisor (with the exception of Naiya'Nal) and did everything he could to protect the king and queen.

Commander Sidrahkir is credited with the invention of belgraveball, a sport which later went on to become a major form of entertainment around the world.

Titles

Commander Sidrahkir's 'Sword of Thunder' on the white flag of Tanarad.

Because of his "legendary" exploits in battle, Sidrahkir was given several nicknames throughout his career.

  1. Barbidon Slayer - This was Sidrahkir's first title. It was given to him at an early age and stuck with him the rest of his life.
  2. Wrath of Tanarad - Sidrahkir earned this title while he was still using his bow and hunting Barbidons that strayed too far from their comrades.
  3. Narva's Nightmare - When Sidrahkir joined the army, it was a joke that the Dark Witch Jazek's apprentice Narva would have nightmares about meeting Sidrahkir in battle.
  4. Dragon Bait - Sidrahkir was called this after the destruction of Latan, during which he was bitten by a dragon.
  5. Courage Incarnate - This was a more personal title, probably given to him by the Red Exemplars to show what they thought of his abilities in battle.
  6. Sword of Thunder - Having proved time and time again that he was capable of leading the army, he was called the Sword of Thunder by the leaders of Tanarad who promoted him to Commander. He used the theme of this title for the symbol on his flag.

What he was most proud of, however, were the rumors that the Barbidons had begun using his name as a curse word, presumably because the Dark Witch Jazek and later the Dark Witch Narva forbid them from using their native language in the port cities of Sarda and foreign lands.

After Belgrave

After the Great King Belgrave and Queen Naiya'Nal defeated the Dark Wizard Voth and were never seen again, Sidrahkir became the next ruler of Tanarad and promoted Balvain to commander of the army. However, he only lived another six years.

When he died, Sidrahkir was buried along the shore of the Bay of Anamnesis, just outside of Amehtana. Sidrahkir was posthumously honored when the rank of Commander was renamed Sidrahk.
