Turos I is probably the third most famous Great King after Belgrave Palafox and Emanpugnikam, and had such a reputation that fourteen other Great Kings and countless other people were named after him. He was best known for his adventurous nature, as well as the scandal caused by the mysterious death of his brother, Prince Turok while the two were alone on a hunting trip.

Birth

When Turos was born, three Lunari visited him, Ledoch, Kathiv, and Zhethou. With only his parents present, they commanded that he be named Turos, and spoke a brief prophecy about his future.

Name him Turos, for Turos the Tiny will outgrow the shadow of his brother, and Turos the Tiny will one day be called Turos the Mighty!.

Scandal

On Hildes 18, 625 [2:133], Turos arrived back at a hunting camp on Torham's Point, dragging the body of his dead brother behind him. Rather than trying to explain his innocence without any witnesses and the potential accusation of fabricated evidence, he fled. The attendants that were at the camp pursued him across the island. Three days later, Turos fell over a cliff and into the sea. By that time, he had taken an arrow in the left shoulder and the right thigh. The attendants testified that they saw a bright light, possibly a Lunari, swiftly carry his body out to sea.

With no body to be found, gossip and rumors spread throughout the world. Everyone agreed that only Turos knew what exactly had happened, but whether he was dead or alive, as well as the extent of the possible Lunari involvement, was a cause of constant speculation, especially since the Lunari were not well known for divulging their secrets.

Uungluk

Unknown to everyone else, Turos was found by pirates far out to sea after falling off the cliff. Knowing that revealing his real name was dangerous among such men, he told them to call him Uungluk.
