The Lendi Tree grows in both male and female variations. The bark of the female is wooly and boiled until the strands become thick like noodles. The bark of the male lendi tree is not edible but can be used to flavor soups. In Sarda, the Barbidons ferment the sap of the tree for a drink called a lendi spirit.
