Lunari Flower

The Lunari Flower was a small plant which every year put out a single flower with white petals edged in crimson. The exact origins of the flower are unknown but many believe it to have been brought to Nebulum by the Lunari. The flower was destroyed in the same battle which defeated the Dark Magicians.

Legend

There was once an ancient tale of a man named Icavor who had a flower which had been brought into Nebulum by the original Lunari. It had been said that never would he find a woman whose beauty compared to the flower but then he found Yanna'Reh whose beauty exceeded even that. He gave her the flower to remember him as he went on a task from her father in order to marry her. Later, Icavor and Yanna'Reh's family were killed by a soldier of darkness during a violent storm. She avenged her loss but then spent the next eight years mourning before she lost the will to live and died as the last petal of the flower dropped for the winter.

The root of the flower was planted next to her grave by a traveller who witnessed her death and there it grew forgotten to history. Now the valley east of the flower is filled with water and although it's origin had been forgotten, it is called Lake Icavor.

The flower itself became a boundary between the stony barren land of the Dark Magicians and the still vegetated shores of Lake Icavor. According to the Legend of Nidiz, the spirit of Yanna'Reh still cares for the flower and will kill any darkness which threatens to come near. The hero Josloy heard of this and decided to uproot the flower and put it into a pot which he carried into battle against the Dark Magicians. The tactic worked but the flower did not survive the blast.

While commonly known as a flower of the Lunari, it has also been given the name of the woman whose beauty surpassed it, Yanna'Reh.
