The Council of Adaptive Writing and Publishing was the foremost authority on authorship and bookmaking in all of Nebulum. Although their main headquarters was in Atalan before it was destroyed in 6035 [9:345], they had offices and operatives in practically every locality. At the height of its power, the organization was responsible for almost every book and newspaper printed in the world. The shear commercial power and potential of this organization gave it the ability to engage in endeavors beyond even the ability of some Great Kings, especially following the Second Battle of Nazada, which destroyed a large portion of the global population. Many of the books contained in the Library of Elevor were published by this organization.

Inside the Organization

It is believed that the Council of Adaptive Writing and Publishing had several internal organizations or fraternities.

  • Wordiness: The members of this group were known for their lengthy works. There are only five known levels, and the only known member of the fifth was Daridus, who wished to be addressed as 'Daridus the Eloquent, personal scribe of King Setrar of Nerak and Authoritative Keeper of the Keys to the Fifth Circle of Wordiness for the Illustrious Council of Adaptive Writing and Publishing.'

Known Authors/Employees

  • Daridus: Daridus is one of the most lexile authors to write for the organization. He wrote his name as, "Daridus the Eloquent, personal scribe of King Setrar of Nerak and Authoritative Keeper of the Keys to the Fifth Circle of Wordiness for the Illustrious Council of Adaptive Writing and Publishing." The books written by this man were among the longest the world ever saw published.
  • Kellon: (~5640 [8:1084]-5710 [9:20]) Kellon began his time with the organization working in an office. His job was to find new talent and stories for the organization to use. Kellon later became a field agent when tasked with finding Josloy in Etnyben to obtain permission for the organization to publish Josloy's journals. Kellon caught up with Josloy at the end of 5678 [8:1122], and traveled with the man until they returned to Atalan in 5681 [8:1125]. Josloy never gave permission to publish his journals, insisting the permission must come from Queen Hudena'Sor, who commissioned the keeping of the journals.
  • Niahla'Sen: (5644 [8:1088]-?) Niahla'Sen was a member of the Sisterhood of Jadela'Mar. However, one of her first assignments with the Sisterhood involved working with the Council of Adaptive Writing and Publishing. She was somewhat acquainted with Kellon during this time.
