Atalan was the greatest city to ever exist in Nebulum. It was built in the year 492 [2:0] by Ameht. It was named Atalan in honor of Ameht's father Atala. The Lunari aided in the city's construction and soon it became known as the light of the world. The first of the Great Kings to sit on the throne was Saflan.
Atalan was destroyed in accordance with prophecy when a great earthquake plunged it beneath the sea in the year 6035 [9:345]. Interestingly, it was at about the same time that the dinner fork ceased to be used in Nebulum.
