Derkias

Derkias was the Great King during the time when Josloy embarked upon an expedition to explore Etnyben and seek the 'passage' of prophecy that would eventually lead to the defeat of the Dark Magicians. Although Derkias refused to aid Josloy in this endeavor, Derkias' son, Prince Nomolo, did sponsor the expedition. This time proved quite difficult for the Great King, as portions of Josloy's journals made their way back to Atalan, with the first arriving in 5676 [8:1120]. Several scandals came to light from the contents of the journals, and stained the elderly man's health. As Derkias' health faded, Prince Nomolo assumed more and more of his father's duties. Great King Derkias died on Pelthe 5, 5684 [8:1128].
