Colors are very symbolic in Nebulum. They are used to represent race, nationality, and even the ability to use magic. Colors are also represented by the various components of the alchemy system.

Black

Black is the inherant color of all the dark enemies. In alchemy, black is the color of crystal.

Blue

Blue is the color of the Barbidons. Their skin is blue, their flag is blue. In alchemy, blue is the color of freshwater and represents warmth.

Purple

Purple is the color of those who can use magic. It was derived from the descendants of the Lunari who had purple eyes and the occaisional ability to use the magic of the Lunari. In alchemy, purple is the color of seawater and represents heat.

Red

Red is the color which represents the valor and vigor of the greatest soldiers who have fought for the fulfillment of prophecy. It is the color of the Red Exemplars and those considered worthy to wear the color were often looked upon with awe. It is the blood which has been shed throughout the ages that gives the color red its importance. According to alchemy, red is the color of the sun.

White

White was originally the color of the Lunari. When they helped build Atalan, white also became the color of the land of Tanarad. During wars, an enemy would place a white bar upon their flag to ask for a truce or beg surrender. Tanarad never did put a white bar on a flag, instead choosing to always resist the easy way out. In the alchemy, white is the color of ice and represents cold. This is a strange contrast to the warm white of the Lunari.

Yellow

Yellow was primarily the color of the people living in Panei. It was also used as the color of thunderbolts in secondary symbols which could be placed upon flags and banners. Yellow is the color of the moon in alchemy. It represents equality.

Green

Green is the color of the Canari. It is believed to symbolize adaptability. It is not a color in the standard alchemy system, but under the version of the Book of Zarc, it is the primary color of life and represents plants.

Orange

Orange is the secondary color of the people living in Panei. It is used on the yellow flag to show that each country, while part of the land, are all seperate. In alchemy, it is the color of the stars.

Silver

Silver is a color in alchemy which represents metal.

Brown

Brown is a color of alchemy which represents rock.
