Jadela'Mar was born in Panei in 2919 [4:314]. Even at an early age, she was studious and learned all she could about the prophecies. She was particularly interested in the second and twenty-first prophecies which both make a vague reference to "rules". At the age of 16, she discovered that the mentioned rules allowed the Lunari to use magic.

Having once been told that one of her ancestors long ago had been a Lunari, she began to attempt to figure out how to use their magic. It took her many tries before she was able to use the Lunari abilities, but she suddenly caused a storm of hail and lightning.

Jadela'Mar then spent the next five years refining her skills and learning more magic. When the Dark Wizard Zarvaz began to send his armies against Tanarad in 2940 [4:335], she left her home in Panei and went to Atalan to see the Great King Norgartil. She told the Great King that if he gave her a small number of soldiers, she would be able to defeat the Dark Wizard. Amused by her confidence, the Great King gave her five soldiers for her protection.

She doubted the five soldiers but did not doubt her abilities. She went to meet the army of the Dark Wizard and in the cataclysm that followed, she not only protected the five soldiers, but completely annihilated the entire army of the Dark Wizard. One of the five soldiers later said they had never seen ice and fire at the same time. Another said the Dark Wizard had been killed when one of Jadela'Mar's thunderbolts struck an enemy arrow in the sky and redirected it at him. With the Dark Wizard defeated, Jadela'Mar had fulfilled the twenty-first prophecy. She was richly rewarded by the Great King.

The next fourteen years were spent searching for and training other women of partial Lunari descent. Many were quite adept but few ever became as proficient as Jadela'Mar. In 2953 [5:12], she died at the young age of 34 from a common stomach illness. One year later, the Sisterhood of Jadela'Mar was founded to continue the work she had begun.

The Oath of Jadela'Mar

I am a mortal woman born of man yet the blood of the ancient Lunari flows in my veins.
I will learn to use the magic granted the Lunari at the creation of Nebulum.
I will strive to do my part in the scheme of history however small it may be.
I am dedicated to this purpose and no other will so completely dominate my life.
I am a member of the Sisterhood of Jadela'Mar and bound by this pledge forevermore.
