It’s winter in the southern half of Etnyben right now, and cold and wet as we leave Torheem. We’re traveling west, and probably won’t change course toward anywhere we’ve previously visited unless we suddenly have a dire need to pass through one of those places. Even so, in such a large land, deciding to return to somewhere on a whim or in response to an immediate need is impossible. It could take weeks or months to arrive. The only exception is the cave with the Huvudet paintings, and perhaps Kaluna and Aguna since they’d then be along our course. Dawn wants to add to the paintings, and record her part in the Huvudet history. I suggested waiting until after we find the ‘passage,’ but she said it didn’t matter if it was painted before or after. She also said she’d be able to figure out the final circular glyph when we reach the cave. It might add a bit of time to our journey, but considering how long it’s going to take us to walk across Etnyben, it’s just a small diversion.

The Red Exemplars escorted us out of Torheem this morning. We didn’t expect to meet up with them again, but Pelmarco said people enjoy parades, and we are worth it. This might be the last time we ever see him. It’s a big world, and I don’t expect I’ll be coming back this direction anytime soon, if ever. We said our farewells again, and Pelmarco once again affirmed that joining my expedition was the best thing he ever did after leaving the Red Exemplars.

I still can’t figure out why Niahla’Sen wants to continue with us. She’s either on a mission so obscure I’d never guess it, or she’s hiding her purpose. Maybe it has absolutely nothing to do with the Sisterhood of Jadela’Mar. Perhaps I could flatter myself, and say she’s here because of me. However, my opinion on the matter doesn’t seem to mean much. She’s traveling with us, and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can say or do to stop that.
