You would think that people would be interested to learn the origin of the Dark Magicians, but no, they’re upset that I let Tora’Sor go to try helping the ancient member of the Sisterhood of Jadela’Mar. After I explained why Tora’Sor did it, and that she did it without asking my opinion, they’re somewhat more agreeable that it was the right thing to do, but they’re still not pleased about losing her.

Elendra’Tel thinks the prudent thing to do would be to return to Atalan immediately, and report the incident to the Sisterhood of Jadela’Mar. She claims Tora’Sor did not have the final ingredient for the poison to hurt the longevity of the Dark Magicians, nor was it possible to obtain such an ingredient. She would not tell me what it was. Pelmarco said I am a foolish idiot for permitting Tora’Sor to give herself willingly to the enemy. If we weren’t in the middle of the jungle, he’d probably return to his home, and leave me to wander Etnyben by myself. Krista’Mil kept her opinions to herself, although by her facial expressions, it’s evident she is both curious and upset. I’d half expect her to run out to the cave and enter to see if she could find Tora’Sor, but I know she’s not that foolhardy.

We plan to leave Razhinoch tomorrow. After the villagers told us the river was impassable about two days north of the village, we decided our only option is to travel upriver the way we came. Until we grow accustomed to Tora’Sor’s absence, our travels will be melancholy at best.
